If you live in Cairo and you want to volunteer part time, we would love to hear from you!  We can use volunteers for a couple of hours a few days a week.  We are also looking for full time volunteers who are available for more extended amounts of time.

Our students are taught in English so the language barrier isn’t a problem.

We are convinced that as you serve here you will also gain from the experience.

Join us for our Guided Reading program, as we read each day with students from Grades 1-4.

Here’s what our volunteer music teacher says…

Music lessons 2017

“I have been incredibly blessed to work here, where the students are eager to learn and incredibly smart! To be able to see music touch the lives of these students is a joy. They are incredibly talented, putting together pieces of music that they love, adding movement to it, and performing at a high level in front of a large audience! They have already performed twice for the public at celebrations, and will continue to do so this spring!”

The doctor teaching 2017

Dr John (above) served with us here at AHLC for a whole year.  Nurse Angie (below) joined us for two years.  We are grateful for the love and care given to our students and staff by volunteers who care.
